It's hard to believe that we have been in South Texas for almost a year. Three years ago God told us to sell our possessions and give to the poor and come follow Him and so we did and then the Lord said,'' Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house to a land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1
For the past year we have built relationships with many who have opened up to us about their need for healing and spiritual hunger. We have been able to pray for some and we have seen God move in their behalf. We live very modestly in a one bedroom apartment and we have been able to make our income with a small store downtown where we have met many that need Jesus.
We feel that the Lord is now calling us into fultime ministry again and the store has shut down as we have sold all of our inventory. We have a small building on Mainstreet where we will hold meetings and pray for those in need of healing and deliverance. Please be in prayer for us as we begin to evangelize this community. Our meetings will begin tommorrow night at 7:00 pm.
Next saturday we will be holding a fundraiser for the poor and those with cancer. We are selling tickets for $6.00 per plate for a Mexican dinner. If you would like to purchase tickets for those that cannot afford them please send your checks to RTC, PO Box 62, Yorktown, Texas 78164. $24.00 will feed a family of four.
We are moving out in faith trusting God for our needs and if you would like to support this ministry please do, we need all the help we can get. Please pray for us as this is a hard place to minister with tradition, racism and drugs and alcohol being rampant in this area. There is also a very strong spirit of witchcraft that rules the lives of many in the Hispanic communities. For hundreds of years these spirits have been dominating this area and they won't be giving up without a fight.
