Standing On The Promises Of God, Part VII

For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11,12

God has assigned angels to each of us to watch over all our ways and to assist us against the schemes of our ever present enemies. Throughout scripture angels have interacted with humans and have helped us in battle and ministered to us strength when we have been weakened, always watching over us, unseen guardians sent to serve and protect!

When Daniel prayed to God the Principality of Persia withstood him twenty one days, holding back the answer until the arch angel, Michael was sent to war against him. When Jesus agonized in the garden of Gethsemane, angels came and ministered strength to Him, Peter was released from prison by an angel when he was charged with preaching the gospel and who knows how many other incidents throughout the history of the world that angels have come to the rescue?

Satan also knows full well about angels having deceived one third of them to rebel against God and leave their heavenly abode. In the wilderness when Jesus was tempted, Satan tried to get Him to jump off the pinnacle of the temple and even quoted the above mentioned psalm trying to kill Him. We as believers have been given great opportunities to be victorious with our angelic guardians at our side, blessed by God to have these heavenly body-guards!

But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool"? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:13,14
