Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: sorcery. Galatians 5:20

The Greek word for sorcery is pharmakeia where we get our modern day word, pharmacy. The making of potions to heal and to curse have been around for eons and today we have millions addicted by its seductive power.

Witchcraft, sorcery and divination are still practiced today becoming fashionable with the advent of the "Harry Potter" series of books and movies that have not only polluted the minds of our youth, but trained them in the utilization of the dark arts and the ability to put curses on people. The definition of magic in the old Webster's dictionary is obtaining something by the aid of demons.

There is also a revival of seances and the desire to talk to dead relatives by the aid of mediums, especially in Hollywood where thousands are bilked out of their money to hear from a familiar spirit (demon) of their dead family members. Be warned, that all of these seemingly innocent and childish practices are evil and an abomination to God with the danger of opening yourself up to demonic possession!

"He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and He shall be My son. "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Revelation 21:7,8
