"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket; but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." Matthew 5:14,15

It is amazing how much light there is just from lighting a match in a dark room. So it is with us as we walk in the darkness of this world, our light illuminates the love of Jesus bringing conviction to the lost. The light within you can defeat the very powers of darkness, expose the deeds of wickedness and even bring the lost to salvation!

Our light source is the Holy Spirit, received at the time of our spiritual birth and His light must be maintained by keeping our wicks trimmed. In other words we must always strive to gain more light and revelation from our communion with the Father and not fall away into the darkness of the world's seduction and lust. Remember the lyrics to "This little light of mine?" A simple little song with a powerful message, "I'm going to let it shine!" Well, are you? Are you letting your light shine on others, can they see it, or is it hidden from view?

We are in a time of deep spiritual darkness on the earth and the church of Jesus Christ is backslidden and for the most part fallen away from the faith. False teachers and preachers are everywhere spreading lies and perverting the gospel of Jesus Christ! If there was ever a time for us to illuminate the world with the light of Jesus, its now!

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:16
