A More Excellent Way, Part IV

"As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide (remain) in My love. "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." John 15:9,10

The love of God is unfathomable, a gift given to mankind to receive mercy and forgiveness for sins and to replicate His nature and character to the world. The love of God flows through the vine to the branches and so as we abide in Jesus His love permeates our souls and overflows into the world.

As stated in previous scripture if we have all the supernatural gifts of His Spirit and don't have love we become clanging gongs! Today that's about all you hear from so-called Christianity, clanging and gonging against this and that, but showing no true agape love to those in need. It is hard to distinguish anymore the real from the counterfeit because of all the rock throwing and bashing going on in the church! Railing against homosexuals, gay marriage, the current administration, abortion and illegal immigrants, but never doing anything about any of it. How can this be a people with the love of God in their hearts?

Newsflash! The very ones you are speaking out against are the ones God is sending to you (the body of Christ) to give the gospel of salvation to. All of those undeserving souls that you have complained about, are in fact, the harvest, appointed to His blood bought saints! Remember in the Old Testament God saying to take care of aliens and strangers, remember the woman caught in adultery, a death sentence under the law of Moses and yet Jesus forgave her and saved her? Jesus said that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven?

"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. "Greater love has no one than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:12,13
