The Promises of God: Part CLVII

"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Luke 11:9,10

When we were children and we had a need, we asked our parents and if it was something they approved of they would give it. So it is with God, there are three keys that unlock his generosity, ask, seek, and knock.

Like our parents, our heavenly Father will also have to approve our request whether what we asked for is good for us or harmful. Years ago, when I was in the equipment business I was quoting a job for a large company to rebuild a piece of their equipment. I kept asking God and knocking but it seemed the door just would not open! When this happens it's a good sign that God doesn't want you to have your request, and we must take this as a warning.

I was young in the Lord and hadn't learned to be still and listen to my heavenly Father's answer to my request, so I decided to go to my customer and see if I could break the proverbial door down! On my way to my meeting with the engineer the news broke in on the radio saying that an ammonia line exploded where I would have been and killed those I was to meet! Praise God, He spared me in my rebellion!

"If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?" Luke 11:11,12

Your servant in Christ, Timothy Laughlin
Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Tim Laughlin has been involved in full time ministry for over thirty-five years. Set free from a $2000.00 a week cocaine addiction and fifteen years of alcoholism, Tim gave his life to Jesus in 1980 and was immediately delivered. Trained in the streets, led only by the Holy Spirit, Tim prayed for drug addicts, prostitutes and anyone else that wanted to be free from the strongholds of sin. With a burning desire to see people saved and healed Tim founded and directed several Christian residential programs such as Manna Ministries, one of the largest and most successful women's ministries in the Southwest. Apostle to the ''NO-BODY'S'' of this world, Tim has been involved in virtually every facet of ministry, from prison, ex offenders, UN-wed mothers, addicts, Gays and those that nobody wants. Without formal training and only a love for people Tim has seen hundreds set free, healed, delivered and raised from the dead by God's powerful anointing available to everyone that asks Him. Through many trials and fires in his own life Tim has learned to trust in the Lord for all of his needs and to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance in every circumstance. His vision is for the Body of Christ to become the powerful army of disciples that God intended them to be, trained for battle and loving people from all walks of life. Tim's wife, Mary Ann works along side him ministering and training those that come for help. Deemed hopeless from extended drug abuse and surviving five mental institutions, Mary Ann was set free and healed miraculously and restored to a beautiful woman of God. Tim and Mary Ann are available to speak to your church or organization. Personal counseling and individual training are available upon request. Drug and alcohol addiction therapy is also available for adults and teens through support groups and referrals. For more information please contact us. ***Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."   Psalms 103: 2-4***
