Love never fails. I Corinthians 13:8

Those past few months took a toll on me having never been sick, but the grace that God gave me brought me through the storm! I am convinced that cancer is a curse and that sickness, disease and infirmity have all been healed at the cross of Christ!

After 42 years of following Jesus, I have learned many things and I am still learning! I know if we continue to seek His face, He will give us what we need in all of our circumstances. I don't understand why some get healed and others don't but there are many things to consider when you are believing God for your health!

The surgery went well, and I was released from the hospital the next day. The worst part of my ordeal was wearing a catheter for three months, I wouldn't wish that on anyone! In a couple of weeks, I went back to see what else would have to be done, because the cancer went from high grade to low grade. I was expecting chemo or radiation when the Doc came in and out of the clear blue he said to me, "I can't treat what you don't have!"Praise God, He healed me!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understandingwill guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

Love endures all things. I Corinthians 13:7

Ever since my dad died of cancer in 1973 at age 63, I had been afraid of the disease but when I was saved in 1980, I no longer feared it! It was really strange that after my diagnosis the grace of God totally covered me, and I had no fear whatsoever, even one of the nurses said, "What's wrong with this guy?"

When it came time to see the urologist and find out what the prognosis would be he told me that he would remove the bladder, put a bag on me and I would be playing golf in no time as if he were changing a battery on a car! I said to myself, "No way!" So, I left and went for a second opinion, and I found a lady urologist at UTSW and she pulled up my diagnosis and showed me what I actually had, and scheduled me for a pet scan!

The doctor. then referred me to a Ukrainian doctor at UTSW in Dallas and so I got the pet scan and went to my appointment with the new Doc. After he reviewed my information he came in and said, "You have a 70% chance of saving your bladder and I immediately said to him, "Go for it!" I later found out that the new Ukrainian Doc was a wiz kid, a professor, and double boarded in two countries so I really felt like God was in control of my circumstances!

But God, Who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the age to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7

Love believes all things, hopes all things. I Corinthians 13:7

I was admitted into the same hospital I was born in, and my mother and father died in so there was lots of history. My cardiologist put me in the cardiac ward where they hooked me up to an EKG and monitored my heart and then the urologist came in and told me that he was going to do the biopsy.

The urologist reminded me of George C. Scott as he was a grumpy old guy taking the place of my normal Doctor. The next day they took me to the OR where they were lined up to be operated on and then a little nurse came in and gave me a shot and it was lights out! The next thing I remember I woke up in excruciating pain and Mary Ann was standing there crying so I knew things were not good!

The old Dr. said he saw the cancer and it looked like an angry beast and the biopsy showed it to be high grade and would have to be removed. I was in the hospital for two weeks and then released to go home and refrain from any driving, lifting and strenuous exercise. My next doctor visit was to find out what would have to be done and the grace of God was surrounding me!

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. Psalm 91:2,3

Love bears all things. I Corinthians 13:7

The love of God releases our burdens and lightens our heavy load, and the Word promises that He would never allow us to have more on us than we could withstand. His burden is light, and His grace enables us to overcome in all circumstances.

Three years ago, I was diagnosed with high grade bladder cancer. I had been bleeding heavily for days and one morning woke up and I had gained 20-30 pounds of fluid and was badly swollen. I went to the ER only to find out I had a liter of blood in my bladder and my kidneys had failed. The nurse said I would be on dialysis the rest of my life, so my wife and I prayed, and they admitted me to the hospital.

The next day they came up and ran tests on my kidneys and a few hours later the nurse came in and said they had to do it again.A few hours after that the kidney specialist arrived and said the numbers on my blood test were the highest they could be, from failed to like new! Praise God!

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:29,30
