Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all as anyone had need. Acts 2:43-45

This is the way God intended His church to be, a mobile assembly of sold out followers of Jesus willing to die to their lives to give to those in need who had just been saved! They had no idea or thought about getting a building and setting up shop or to promote their ministry, the apostles or anyone else, they simply knew they had been converted, filled with the Holy Spirit and had been given new hearts to serve God!

Now wrap your head around this: 3000 folks had just given their lives to Jesus, praise God! Problem being, they were from out of town and they were not about to leave, being exited about Jesus and on top of that they were sending for their families!Imagine having 25 people move into your home because if you do the math, 3000 divided by 120 believers is 25 per home, assuming that they all had homes in Jerusalem! What a wonderful problem to have, housing, feeding and loving all your brothers and sisters who had just come into God's family!

How far we have fallen from what God intended us to have, being conformed to a worldly religious system, forgetting the true ministry of Jesus, the laying down of our lives for the brethren! In my short 38 year journey I have seen glimpses of this being in residential ministry where we didn't have church one day a week, we were the church 24/7. The Holy Spirit was present every day and people got saved delivered and filled on a regular basis. At one time the presence was so strong on the ministry property that people would weep when they came to visit! I believe we will see it again, "Glory be to God!"

So continuing daily with one accord (harmony) in the temple (Not their temple), and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46,47
