The Gospel Of Jesus Christ, Part VIII

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, (born from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

A Pharisee and ruler of the Jews named Nicodemus came to Jesus at night so as not to be seen by his peers and acknowledged that He was indeed a teacher come from God. Jesus told him that for him to see the kingdom of God he must be born from above, or in other words he would have to have a spiritual birth.

Nicodemus questioned Jesus and asked how he could be born twice, not being able to enter a second time into his mother's womb. Jesus then proceeded to tell him that one must be born of the flesh and also have a spiritual birth allowing entrance into the realm of the kingdom of God. Jesus then questioned him about him being a teacher of Israel and not knowing these things. Pharisees were well versed in the law of Moses and the prophets, the psalms and proverbs but this new teaching that Jesus was explaining they didn't know about, it was totally foreign to them.

There are millions today in the churches of the world, many grown up in religious study, but not knowing the truth about salvation and the fact that they must be born again in order to see and to enter the kingdom of God. The Way of salvation has been clouded by religious subterfuge leading people to believe that by attending services and by being good that they will somehow make Heaven, but that is so far from the truth!

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:6-8
