But the fruit of the Spirit is peace. Galatians 5:22

The word peace to most is a state of mind, a sense of tranquility and contentment, but the Hebrew word for peace is "Shalom" which has a much deeper meaning. It means completeness, wholeness, health, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, fullness, rest and the absence of agitation or discord.

Shalom comes from a root word that means complete, perfect and full and to know this kind of peace, one has to know the "Prince of Peace" the only One who can give this kind of environment in the midst of chaos and turmoil. Jesus is the very essence of peace,One who calms the storms of life and heals the ills of man and guards our hearts and mind with His promises.

Do you have "Shalom" in your life and if not, do you know the "Prince of Peace?"The giver of true spiritual life. Jesus has the peace that passes all understanding that will enter your heart the very second you surrender to His call to serve Him as your Lord! To know Him is to live in heavenly tranquility, not that you won't have tribulation, but that you will be able to withstand because of His peace, knowing He is in control!

"Peace I leave with you, My peace (Shalom), I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
