Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? Part I
To answer this age old question we have to have a belief system. We have to believe in God and we have to believe in His word. If we can agree on these two things then we can begin to answer  the question: WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

In the beginning God created man and put him in a beautiful garden called Eden, a place of perfection and peace, there was no evil, disease or death. God created man to be a partner with Him and He gave man dominion over the earth and all that it contained. God's original plan was to have continual communion and fellowship with man.

There are three reasons that bad things happen to good and even to bad people. 1. Intrusion- the devil comes to rob, kill and destroy. If you believe in God then you must believe in Satan the master of disaster. He is the enemy of all mankind and hates everything that God has created. 2. Willful disobedience- breaking the law of God and breaking the law of man will bring about negative consequences. 3. Generational curses- The sins of the fathers come down on the children. Sin, sickness and death are inherited because of the sins and disobedience of our forefathers.

In the Garden of Eden Satan invaded the domain of Adam and seduced his wife, Eve into disobeying God's command thus getting them thrown out of the garden. The curse is then released on all mankind and strikes Adam and Eve's children by Cain's murder of his brother, Able. And so down through the ages we have struggled with all the death and disease and curses brought about by someone Else's sin. Sounds unbelievable doesn't it, but it's true, even doctors will tell you that most disease is hereditary. It all passes down through the bloodline of man inflicting who it will without regard for goodness, creed or color.

That's why sweet little old grandmothers who went to church all of their life die horrible deaths brought on by inherited sin. People die every day prematurely, infants are born deformed and crippled and so on and so on. Whats the answer to this age old problem? The answer lies in the blood of Jesus, He suffered and died for us that we wouldn't have to experience all of this inherited tragedy.

In the book of Hosea 3: 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. People are not aware of the benefits that have been provided for them by a loving God who cares for them. Instead in most cases when bad things happen the person we blame is God. Remember He gave us dominion over the earth as well as Satan and the powers of darkness. Jesus said,'' You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.'' The problem is that most people don't know the truth.

If a rich relative of yours died and left you a fortune I bet you would want to know exactly what the will states and how much you are going to get. Jesus died and gave you everything that pertains to life and godliness according to His last will and new testament, but most people never read it. They are literally destroyed for lack of the knowledge of the word of God.

The end of all things is at hand and the world is being shaken violently, earthquakes, famines, floods, hurricanes and now the possibility of one of the worst pandemics to ever hit the planet, the deadly bird flu. Without knowing the provision that our heavenly Father has given us we are certainly destined to perish.

Its time to seek the Lord while He may be found and renew our relationship with Him in these very stressful times before its to late, the end is near and Jesus is coming back for His bride, a spotless church full of His power, love and glory. WILL YOU BE READY?

Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn us but He will heal us, He has stricken us but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up. That we may live in His sight.  Hosea 6: 1,2

May the Lord give you His favor and blessing in all that you set your hand to do.
